About Event

A Stanford Climate Week panel on CDR

The latest IPCC reports conclude that we cannot reach Net Zero, and reverse the rise of atmospheric concentrations of CO2 and their associated climate impacts, without scaling up negative emissions technologies (NETs) to 5-10 GtC/year. But the nascent Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) ecosystem requires large capital commitments from investors, and visionary customers ready to pre-purchase years ahead of capacity.

Come meet the industry leaders working at the frontlines of the market for removals, and learn what it will take to build and grow the CDR industry to the gigaton scale and beyond!

At the frontlines of carbon removal

  • In a changing environment with uncertain long term policy incentives, what does it take to sell removals today?

  • What does it take for visionary customer to align their organizations and purchase removals?

  • What strategies do new entrants embrace to bring their technologies to market and scale the business of carbon removals?

  • What forces are driving the CDR market, and where is it headed?
