NY #TechWeek Panel: Reinforcement Learning - Its Role in Reasoning, Language Models, and Industry

​Join us for a fireside chat with Ida Momennejad, Principal Researcher in Reinforcement Learning at Microsoft Research. Ida focuses on building and evaluating generative AI, inspired by her research in reinforcement learning and cognitive neuroscience. Her research specifically has centered around memory, exploration, and planning. Her work combines reinforcement learning, neural networks, large language models, and machine learning with behavioral experiments. Her recent projects have included building more efficient models of memory, multi-agent simulations and metalearning, computational approaches to mental health, and RL agents with human-like navigation in games.

​This session will dive into the future of AI through the lens of RL and where it can provide value in language models, planning, reasoning and solving other real world problems.
