Andrew C.K.
Andrew C.K. is a storyteller turned technologist, blending a background in screenwriting with over a decade of experience as a professional XR developer and technology educator. Since 2014, he has been at the forefront of immersive innovation, creating transformative experiences that bridge the gap between art, design, and computer science. He previously owned and operated an immersive art exhibit in Philadelphia, where he combined narrative, interactivity, and technology to immerse attendees in multi-sensory, narrative-driven environments. Andrew currently serves as an XR technologist and developer at NYU’s Center for Faculty Advancement’s Immersive Technology Lab, where he pioneers new ways XR can enhance education and empower faculty to create meaningful, student-centered immersive learning experiences. In 2024, he was named a Fulbright XR Specialist and taught XR development in Tunisia, advancing immersive technologies on a global stage. Across both academia and industry, Andrew is passionate about using XR to shape the future of learning and human connection.
-Works Exhibited
A story-driven XR experience created for a documentary exploring the therapeutic impact of virtual reality on paraplegics. He is also showcasing an experimental experience that leverages AI to simulate and generate real-time, adaptive narratives that respond dynamically to the user's dialogue and simulated conversation.
Carol Silverman
Carol Silverman is an artist whose practice centers on the narrative power of objects across analog and digital mediums. Involved with XR technology since 2016, she created the room scale VR experience Belongings, an official selection at the 2021 Raindance Immersive, FIVARS, and Animation Nights NY Best of Fest festivals. Her expertise in spatial storytelling extends to her career as a film and television set decorator, where she has shaped environments for projects ranging from Saturday Night Live parody commercials to indie features. As set decorator for HBO's Boardwalk Empire, she was recognized by the Television Academy with four Emmy Awards. Carol holds an MFA in Visual Narrative from New York's School of Visual Arts (2020), where she further developed her approach to storytelling through environment and object.
-Works Exhibited
Carol Silverman’s Belongings is an immersive memory box that uses the medium of virtual reality to bring an embodied immediacy to one woman’s life story. The haze of memory blurs the line between ordinary and precious as a woman’s possessions tell the story of the life she lived. The viewer interacts with her personal photographs, documents, artwork, and possessions in an intimate space where time present and time past coexist in an interactive biography.

-Works Exhibited
Agile Lens will demonstrate key elements of the tech stack behind A Christmas Carol VR, our annual internal production and research project where we bring the year’s latest discoveries and solutions into practice. We’ll showcase our standalone performance capture system, which allows a single actor to fluidly perform as two distinct avatars—switching seamlessly between characters in the same scene—through a combination of third-person perspective tools and a suite of lightweight, actor-friendly solutions.Built in Unreal Engine and powered by Quest Pro face tracking, Meta's Movement SDK, and other modular components of our own design, the system is adaptable to a range of use cases beyond theater, from interactive storytelling to live virtual events and training simulations. We’ll also highlight our remote stage management system, designed to enable seamless live show-calling from anywhere in the world, making real-time virtual performance more scalable and accessible than ever before.
