Malaysia Debate Open (External)

​Dear Malaysian Debaters,

​Voices MMU is very happy to announce that the 12th Malaysia Debate Open 2024 is back!! Since 2008, the Malaysia Debate Open has been a top tournament in Asia, attracting participants from all over the continent. This year is special for us as we aim to improve your experience in debating and stay in Melaka. We've put together one of our best judging teams and are offering financial support for adjudicators. For the first time, there's going to be an early bird registration fee to make MDO 2024 more affordable and accessible to everyone!
Here are the relevant details:

​1. Tournament Details

Dates: 31st August 2024 (Saturday) - 1st September 2024 (Sunday)
Location: Multimedia University, Melaka Campus, Malaysia
Debate format: British Parliamentary
Debate policy: N-1

​2. Registration Fees:

​
Early Bird Reg fees: RM300 per team
*Early bird fee will end on 15 July 2024.
(** With Accommodation; Inclusive of Accommodation (3D2N) : Early Reg Fees - TBA)
Normal registration fee : RM350 per team.
(** With Accommodation; Inclusive of Accommodation (3D2N) : Normal Registration Fees - TBA)

We will be announcing the adjudication core in the near future! Details for adjudicator subsidies will be announced soon.

Payment Phase: 30th June 2024 - 23th August 2024
Early Bird Phase: 30th June 2024 - 15th July 2024
*Early bird promotion will only be applicable for payment made during and before the deadline for the early bird phase. It will not apply if you have registered during the early bird phase but have not made the full payment before 15 July 2024
