moon story: a guided musical journey through the inner child
moon story is a meditative gathering that blends music, storytelling, and reflection — rooted in inner child healing and shadow work as tools for collective liberation. This experience marks the debut of Khayaalat, a soul-bending album and performance piece exploring softness, grief, joy, and the divine feminine as sources of transformation.
This special edition of moon story invites the community into a ritual of presence — not only through performance, but by gathering local healers, organizers, and artists. As we resist the systems that harm us, moon story centers the parallel work of facing the inner shadows that shape our outer world.
Khayaalat invites listeners to experience the album as a meditative story. Throughout the night, Grand Master IRONFIST of the Ya’ya Guaili Ada Taino Yukayeke tribal band, will be guiding us through a sweet DJ set and a rap cypher! We’ll have some intense teas, tight pre-rolls, and be surrounded by good friends, InshahAllah.

completion of a cycle is the debut project of Khayaalat. the album explores the journey of the inner child as a dynamic spiral, in which she swings from extreme levels of clarity and elation, to depression and delusion — ultimately learning to float in her curious acceptance of insanity. the fourteen track collection includes seven songs stripped of nothing but her electric guitar and voice, interspersed with seven interludes that paint the context within which the songs were channeled. inspired by Laozi’s Daoist philosophy, Khayaalat hopes to create a space to reflect on the pendulum of emotions within our worlds, and the contractability of time to provide relief from the demands of the self.
