​Shaykh Hashim Ahmad is a former professional musician from Los Angeles who embraced Islam in 1971 after a global spiritual search. He studied in Yemen and Makkah, graduating from Umm al-Qura University in Qur’an and Hadith, and holds an MA in Islamic Culture. He has taught Islamic sciences in leading institutions across Karachi for decades and founded the Ubudiyyah Business Model (UBM) — an Islamic business system promoting excellence and purpose. He now leads UBM Trust, offering education, consultancy, and products for a healthy, meaningful lifestyle.
