Building Beyond Capitalism - What Comes Next?

We're pleased to announce a brand new, special training on Sowing Post Capitalist Seeds. We aim to bring trainings and workshops centered around creating post capitalist praxis to your life, work, relationships, and community.

Just like A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, we'll be looking at the ghosts of Capitalism past, Capitalism present, and Capitalism yet to come.

Like many of us, you know the current system of capitalism is literally crushing us, yet it's hard to know what to do. How do we create something new, while surviving the onslaught of climate destruction, rising transphobia and racism, price gouging by big corporations, while food and housing insecurity are on the rise. Where do we find our center, let alone imagine something new to nurture and build? We'll be diving into exactly how we can grieve the past, root ourselves in the present, and start to play with the blank canvas that is our future. It's a space to reimagine what comes next and finding our place in that.

Anuradha Kowtha will be your facilitator and presenter for this workshop, they'll be covering some new materials and share strategies from the popular course, Sowing Post Capitalist Seeds, The Foundation course.

Be sure to register soon, because we'll be taking your answers, situations, and responses to inform our workshop.

About the Event

Description: In this 3.5 hour workshop, we'll approach 'building what comes next' beyond this late stage capitalist hellscape we find ourselves in. We'll be diving into exactly how we can grieve the past, root ourselves in the present, and start to play with the blank canvas that is our future. It's a space to reimagine what comes next and finding our place in that.

The first hour we'll look to the past with a sense of grief and honor the lessons and fortitude and strength. The second hour, we'll look at this present moment, how to be with what is, honoring our capacity and the art of rooting ourselves. And the last hour, we'll focus on building something new and you place in this movement.

We'll also briefly invite you to apply for SPCS, the Foundation course that starts in September.

We will tailor our workshop based on the answers you give in the registration process - we look forward to supporting you.

From an SPCS Alumni:

'Sowing Post Capitalist Seeds was like Dickens,’ A Christmas Carol. We time traveled with the ghosts of capitalism’s past, present and future and saw the chilling threads. We also saw the threads of resistance and possibility. We had the opportunity to reflect and share along the way.'
