Bio
Loek co-founded Nova Credit while studying for his Masters of Computational Mathematics and Engineering. At Stanford, Loek and his co-founders spent a few months interviewing fellow students and friends about their experience with financial services and quickly spotted a trend. Nearly half of the graduate students at Stanford were international and nearly 100% of this half had a terrible experience with credit.

Loek received his BS in Economics and Mathematics from Vrije University in Amsterdam where he also became a researcher on stochastic signal filtering. He worked at Adobe as an engineer and distributed self-maintaining database systems in Spark, built from scratch. Nova Credit has raised $69.4M from VCs, including Kleiner Perkins, Index Ventures, and First Round Capital. Loek resides in Lisbon, Portugal, where he is working on his next venture.
