About Event
Sea turtles have become the image of environmental movements, but they are more than just mascots.
They are key players in maintaining the balance in ocean health by being transport systems for essential nutrients to coastal dunes and beaches.
Sea turtles also maintain healthy seagrass beds for the benefit of the rest of the reefs.
The oceans hold the world’s best-kept secrets, with so much more of it left unexplored. With the help of experts in the field, PBI hopes to recognize sea turtles as important members of the ecosystem and protectors of marine life.
