About Event

Join us as we welcome Drewsilla Tomasi (She/Her, They/Them) for Queering Sex Ed on Tuesday, March 25th from 7:00 to 9:00PM EST over Zoom! This workshop is a part of The CSPH's Sex Education for Professionals track. The content of this workshop is best suited for sexuality professionals and professionals in allied fields.

This workshop will be recorded and will be made available for a limited time to everyone who registers.

So many of us have been taught that there are only two genders, and that sex exists only between people of opposite genders, mainly for reproduction. And that’s just not true! Come along on this journey wherein we’ll take a deep dive into realities of biological sex, how that differs from the myriad gender possibilities, and how (and if) this correlates to our sexual identities. Through lecture and discussion, interactive games, and embodied introspection, participants will be given a sort of crash course on how to make fewer assumptions and live in more possibility.

Through this workshop, participants will be able to:

Gain a practiced understanding of the importance of proper pronoun etiquette
Reimagine a more inclusive and respectful world, which leads to more pleasure!
Learn how to communicate with more authentic and active consent

About Drewsilla Tomasi

Drewsilla (She/Her, They/Them) is a Relationship, Sex and Intimacy Coach; a Visionary Healer and a Mystic Dreamer; and a gender-expansive goth alien witch from the future. Drewsilla has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Gender and Sexuality, is certified as a trauma-informed yoga teacher, and has trained extensively as a sex-positive facilitator. Through coaching, poetry, intuitive readings, and queer education, Drewsilla creates sacred spaces for healing connection, envisioning a world of deeply compassionate people who are fully and unapologetically alive.

Registration:

Tickets are available on a sliding scale ($3-$30) to ensure folx of varying economic backgrounds are able to access the sex education they deserve. We ask those who have the financial means to help "spread the wealth" by contributing to the community pool so that we can offer a limited number of sponsored free tickets to those who need it.

We kindly ask that those who have the financial means to purchase a ticket do so, and save our sponsored free tickets to those who do not.
