About Event

Join us as we welcome Andrew Rich (they/them) for Lactation, Bodyfeeding, and Sexuality on Wednesday, March 17th from 7:00 to 9:00PM EST over Zoom! This workshop is a part of our Spring Parent/Caregiver Mini-Series.

This workshop will be recorded and will be made available for a limited time to everyone who registers.

In this workshop—geared for parents and lactating people as well as sexuality and health professionals—we will discuss the experiences of lactation, bodyfeeding, and sexuality and cover evidence-based information, inclusive and creative language, and practical tools to use in supporting everyone, but particularly LGBTQ+ individuals, in their experiences of these embodied phenomena.

Through this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the "how" of lactation and it's physiological relationship to sexuality;

  • Engage in a discussion of sexuality and breast/chest/bodyfeeding, gaining and creating language to discuss these experiences; and

  • Gain practices that they can use in their own lives or in supporting clients/patients/community members to support both lactation and sexuality.

They are also a parent to one-year-old Omega and spouse to magical trans human, Astrid Marigold and live in rural Kentucky. They are currently pursuing certification as an international board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) and are endlessly curious about the intersections of gender, sexuality, and lactation.
