About Event

Join us as we welcome Haley Hasen (she/her) + Sydney Rae Chin (she/her) for Dreaming Outside of the System on Tuesday, March 16th from 7:00 to 9:00PM EST over Zoom! This workshop is a part of our Spring Professional Track series.

This workshop will be recorded and will be made available for a limited time to everyone who registers.

This workshop is geared towards sex educators or people interested in survivor justice within higher education. “Dreaming Outside of The System” is an intermediate level workshop and we’re providing a legal and cultural definition handout prior for those who are in the more introductory phase. It will be an interactive discussion-based space on carceral feminism, transformative justice, false accusations, rape apology, complacency, and ways to empower community building/accountability.

Through this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Unlearning systems of oppression that affect victims/survivors

  • Being able to recognize and give examples of complacency within multiple settings

  • Incorporating this information into sex ed/sexuality philosophies
