About Event

We've all been there: in our pragmatic pursuit of stakeholder buy-in and favourable career optics, we often face an unintended consequence: decisions driven more by a desire for validation than by risk reduction and true impact.

When organizational dynamics push us to seek approval rather than scrutinise actions, cognitive distortions like confirmation bias and loss aversion creep in, quietly taking control of our choices.

This tension between making sound decisions and managing perceptions is a constant reality in every organisation. And impossible for individuals to resolve. We can only address it at the system level.

In this session we’ll explore how we can establish governance that helps everyone improve their impact and the company’s bottom line without sacrificing efficiency, stakeholder relations, and personal goals.

Key Topics:

  1. Reducing risk vs. getting buy-in: How can we reduce risk in decision-making while ensuring our stakeholders are on board, especially in environments where optics play a big role for careers?

  2. Reducing bias: How do common biases such as confirmation bias or loss aversion influence decisions? How can we help everyone make more rational informed choices?

  3. Healthy goals: What defines a healthy goal, and how can governance structures support better, unbiased decision-making?

Join us to explore practical ways to resolve tensions between good decision-making and organisational dynamics. Share and receive insights about establishing according good governance in your teams and company.

Primary audience: leaders with formal influence in their company. Senior ICs highly proficient at stakeholder communication. We will go deep at a fast pace – you should be comfortable with that

We expect participants to invest ca. 15-60 min. for preparing their input for the session (you‘ll receive a Google doc with some questions).
