About Jono Hey

Author of Big Ideas Little Pictures. Versatile product leader, startup veteran, designer, strategist and UXer. Equally at home in the ambiguous, future-oriented world of design and business strategy and the left-brained, analytical world of delivery and software engineering.

Jono explains the world in sketches at sketchplanations.com

He helped take Nutmeg.com from a PowerPoint to a billion-dollar acquisition and an established brand in financial services through leading UX and design that meets people's real needs. As Chief Product Officer he helped build Zen Educate into a thriving marketplace for teaching staff across the UK and the US.

He holds a Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley and a master's degree in engineering from the University of Bath. You'll also find his unique illustrations in Bill Gates's 2022 book How to Prevent the Next Pandemic. He does his sketching from London where he lives with his wife and two boys.
